Photographer's Note
Movies, TV, photos, books, etc., have tried to capture the beauty of the Grand Canyon of the Colorado River, but the best way to appreciate it, is to stand on a rim and see it for yourself.
The Canyon is 'huge', the average width is 10 miles, depth 1 mile, and length 277 miles.
This view is from the North Rim's Kaibab trail, which basically meanders the rim's plateau.

Hi Ray,
Anoth beauty of a black and white, and what a location. It's strange because to my eye this view could as easily be a set of sea stacks sticking out of water as opposed to the reailty of a deep valley. The mist adds a special touch too cool shot.
Cheers
Noel

Hello Ray,
Your photo presents the feel of depth very well. I think that the BW elaboration firs the topic very well.
Best Regards,
Gy.

Someday it will make it to the North Rim but for now I'll enjoy your post. Nice capture especially presented in B&W the shadows created depth. Good lighting and nice details. Well done, tfs.
