Photographer's Note

The Grand Canyon Railways run from Williams , Arizona to the Grand Canyon. This is a 65 mile trip and there are several schedules of arrival and departure. They use a variety of old engines, and they all are wonderful looking. They have five or six levels of travel. The GCR has been in being since 1901 and is currently under Xanterra which is a company that operates about 32 of the National Parks for food and lodging. I will post a few shots of the trains or engines and their personnel. I have not taken this train, yet, but I am told it is fun trip and children love it. The train station is just a short walk from the El Tovar Hotel and is in the Bright Angel area.
Tomorrow a photo of the engineer for this locomotive.
