Series on my trip to the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA - NORTH AMERICA - Visiting SAN FRANCISCO (CALIFORNIA) and LAKE TAHOE (CALIFORNIA/NEVADA) - From February 1st to February 19th, 2011 - #103!
LAKE TAHOE AS IS HEAVEANLY SEEN FROM HEAVENLY!
I learned how to ski back in 1982/1983 when I was an exchange student in Colorado! After that, I'd only ski again in Switzerland in 2005 and I chose the best way and place to do it that time: Gornergrat / Zermatt ! After that, I decided to go on and try to ski in many places around the World! It'd be difficult to go to as many places as I wanted to, but I've been trying... Chile (Pucón), Argentina (Bariloche and Ushuaia), Canada (Banff, Lake Louise and Whistler) and USA (Lake Tahoe) were some of the places where I did that!
LAKE TAHOE, its ski resorts and their beauty, is certainly one of my favorite spots in the Planet Earth!

Hello Neyvan,
A fantastic view, looking quite a bit like northern Scandinavia. This is winter looking at its best and you have captured it with superb colors and exposure. The two persons dressed in red really add small but nice spots of bright color.

Can you believe I was born and raised in Salt Lake City, and have never even had the slightest interest in skiing. I tried it once just to see what the craze is all about, but never had the desire to go again. Crazy, I know! :) Anyway, seeing this kind of imagery nudges the thought...but only to obtain this kind of view to photograph. lol
The skiers you have included in this shot are small, but make a big impact on the action and motion conveyed from a distance. Their red jackets are just the right touch of color against the stark white slopes. A superb vantage point which takes us far into the distance with clarity and detail. Very nicely composed. What a fantastic photo of this gorgeous winter scene in California.

The scenery is beautiful but I am excited for warm days without snow. As much as I appreciate the beauty of this photo, I hope not to see this in real life for seven more months!
