It was next mini-TE meeting. In this case with Jason Cowling. Special thanks to Jason for support of my trip to Arizona and the Grand Canyon.

Hello Serghei,
One of the exciting parts of TE is to meet up with like-minded photographers who then become friends. Great that you should meet Jason.
Seeing the Grand Canyon must have been a breath taking experience. You have certainly captured its magnificently sculptured cliffs, with such contrasts of colour and given us a real feeling for the depth.

I have to wonder how you took this, and am imagining you dangling from a helicopter as you lean out to capture this fine view, so wonderfully an example of Arizona. Is it just me, or can you see a face in the top of the pyramid too? Not quite human, more froglike, but I definitely see eyes and a mouth! I hope you are having a brilliant time.

Hello Serghei,
It's nice to see your photo from the Grand Canyon. I like that you filled the entire frame with the canyon on all sides. The difference between the darker rocks in the foreground, and the lighter ones in the background, is very strong. It's interesting how there seem to be small bits of greenery in this very dry and remote place.

Howdy Serghei,
Good Nature's pyramid of rock detail for the textures, and the lighter colored canyon background.
I am bummed out because I had to cancel a week long raft trip through the Canyon this summer due to illness. I would recommend rafting the Canyon to anyone; it is a lifetime experience.

Hi Serghei,
Amazing, isn't it? Certainly worth travelling half way round the world to see. I ended up walking 4 hours along the South Rim after intending to just have a short stroll! Good sharpness, colour and framing. The red contrasts well against the blue grey bg. The repetition of the layers of rock adds interest even if you aren't a geologist. Tfs!
