Photographer's Note
Washington is known as the evergreen state and Mt. Rainier National Park is a perfect place to see them in abundance. It was snowing heavily on the trail where I spotted this circle of tall, skinny evergreens and I liked the contrast of their subdued colors against the rich and textured colors of a fat tree stump.

Hello Claudia
A great perspective, this. The wide-angle lens has accentuated the height of the trees to create a really memorable image. I think I'd have been inclined to suppress the colour altogether, but that's a personal preference.

Hello Claudia,
this is an interesting and successful composition from an unusual point of view. Very good result with all the trunks and tree tops of the circle pointing at the same spot in the white sky. Very good sharpness. I like the variations in dark green and white and the interference of the warmer brown (although I think I would have cropped it a bit). Fine picture!
All the best,
Ourania
