This photo is showing Chicago Board of Trade,one of the most impressive skyscrapers in Chicago.I decided deliberately to take this picture with this unusual angle to show you also part of the adjacent buildings,which are in my opinion as much interesting as Chicago Board of Trade.I hope you like it.

Some facts about Chicago Board of Trade buiding:

The Chicago Board of Trade Building is a skyscraper located in Chicago, Illinois,at 141 W. Jackson Boulevard at the foot of the LaSalle Street canyon, in the Loop.Built in 1930 and first designated a Chicago Landmark on May 4, 1977,the building was listed as a National Historic Landmark on June 2, 1978.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on June 16, 1978. Originally built for the Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT), it is now the primary trading venue for the derivatives exchange, the CME Group, formed in 2007 by the merger of the CBOT and the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

Walking through an area ith those skyscrapers, makes one feel so tiny in our world..., but these sights are always overwhelming, Krzysztof.
You managed good POV, from pavement till top, good light under the shade of the mighty.

Witaj Krzysztof,
bardzo ciekawie przedstawiasz nam ten budynek. Jest bardzo okazaly i wybrales swietny punkt widzenia. Super kolory, ostrosc, ekspozycja. Nigdy jeszcze nie byla w Chicago, ale z relacji mowia ze downtown jest jendno z najladnieszych. Zdjecie podoba mi sie. Fantastyczna praca. Moje gratulacje.

I remember well this impressive building from my recent vistit to Chicago. A nice view here, and an intresting glimpse of the surrounding buildings. Wise decision not to include very much of the out-washed sky. You managed the difficult light very well. Nice work:) Have a nice Sunday.

Hello Krzysztof,

A nice view of Chicago Board of Trade captured under difficult light. It is very different from wall street, quieter. I like the building with columns on the left and the flags on the right. Good colors and sharpness.

This tall skyscrapers, with a statue on the top, really looks highly impressive in your picture. Also I like elements of daily life and street design at the bottom part of the scene. Excellent presentation, both visual and textual, of this well-proportioned edifice and its nearest surroundings!

I like this a lot. I love that look to all of hte buildings in your capture, which to me is classic north american. The sense of scale of the skyscraper is enhanced by your point of view, and by the you included the street view and the other buildings. An impressive place :)

A picture in the midst of concrete jungle with all the angles on the flanks are sloping inwards to balance it and hold the composition up. Superb perspective, pov, pleasing shapes, colours and shade all merge together nicely with lovely touch of vivid colours. This is another fine urban shot and your seamless works as usual. Congrats.

And this photo also reminds me NYC. These same movie's emotions, I like this simple shot of the street. Very attractive graphic, the flags and the posters are good picturesque bonus for this grey block.

Hi Krzysztof,

After seeing Brians picture today of the stained glass window, this one jumped out at me as soon as I spotted the flag. Nationalistic pride perhaps, or just a burst of contrasting color against the neutral tones?? :)

As you eluded to, it would have been easy to isolate the Trade building, but I generally find these kinds of shots more interesting when we can see the context in which it's placed...how it stacks up in comparison, basically. These are always tricky shots too, none of the lines ever seem to match up right, do they? lol You've found a good balance though with this upwards perspective. Have you tried to tally up how many windows are contained in this composition, or are you like me and gave up after counting to three? :)

A very good urban landscape taken and shown from America's "Second City.' We're quite small in the grand scheme of things, aren't we...these cities are crazy tall! Sharp and detailed as always, another super result my friend! Hope work is treating you well and not running you ragged lately...it's almost the weekend. :) Take it easy.
