Photographer's Note
The USS Missouri was launched on January 29,1944, and is the last U.S. battleship ever built. After joining battle for Okinawa, she became the site of the Japanese surrender on September 2,1945. Today, she stands proudly overlooking her fallen sister ship, the Arizona, providing closure for America's fight to bring peace to the Pacific.

Hello Ziggy,
This is a very good rendition of the famous battleship. I am surprised that no more battleships were built after the Missouri. You've chosen a vantage point that reveals four of the forward guns, and another pair are hidden. Even after 67 years it is an imposing image. At my high school, St. Andrew's, there used to a framed photo of Admiral Halsey and General MacArthur accepting the Japanese surrender on board. I think it was signed by Admiral Halsey.
Warm regards,
Bulent

Czesc,
fajna kompozycja z tym napisem z boku. Od razu widac o jaki okret chodzi. Pearl Harbour kojarzy sie chyba wszystkim z napascia Japnczykow na ta baze i przystapieniu USA do wojny. Dobre zdjecie.
Milego weekendu.
Aleksander
