Photographer's Note

I was walking on the streets of Chicago and I found this sculpture that I had never heard about. And I loved it. Immediately, I start to shoot with my camera. I hope you like the too.

This 110-ton elliptical sculpture is a major feature of Millennium Park and was designed by the celebrated British artist Anish Kapoor. It was named Cloud Gate.

The sculpture is forged of a seamless series of highly-polished stainless steel "plates" that create an elliptically-arched, highly reflective work with Chicago’s skyline and Millennium Park itself as a dramatic backdrop.

Inspired by liquid mercury, the sculpture is among the largest in the world, measuring 66-feet long by 33-feet high.
