Photographer's Note
Ketchikan, little town where roads are stairwells. This photo was taken in the harsh, brilliant, cold, and slanting light of a winter's afternoon, nearly sunset at 4pm. The view is of the downtown with a look south along the Inside Passage of the Alexander Archipelago. This is a land of islands and fjords, a popular destination of cruise ships during the summer months. During the winter, Ketchikan sleeps in the sun.

Hi Judy,
this interesting view has deserved more attention! It is the harsh light that creates great colors and shadows. A very well composed and interesting impression. TFS!
Warm regards
Harriet

Hello Judy,
Interesting positioning with the wood stairs descending towards the sea front town and good
Alaskan winter low lighting enhancing the details.
Good job, have fun,
Ray
