Photographer's Note

I am reposting this photo. This is the same photo that was removed by TE coordinators saying that it is extensively post-processed. The photo within the two black borders are processed the regular way in Photoshop. I adjusted the "Levels Control", adjusted "Saturation Control" and sharpened it using "Unsharp Mask Control". The changed I did is reducing the words on the bottome frame. I left "Saving The Past" (the title of my photo) and "The Cliff House" (location of the photo). Previously I also have these words on the bottom frame, "Mesa Verde National Park, Colorado, USA"

The National Park Service is doing a nice job in preserving the past here at Mesa Verde National Park. The looting of historical furnishing and utensils in the different cliff houses for resale have been stopped. The cliff houses' areas have been secured with well placed security gates and doors to prevent nigh burglaries.

This photo was taken at one of the cliff dwellings. This one is called the Cliff House or Cliff Palace. It is one of the ruins of over 600 cliff dwellings inhabited between 500-1276. The picture was taken through an opening on one of the ruined walls.
