Photographer's Note
This was one of those picture-perfect mornings where you and your camera just keep discovering pictures. The night before, I had observed a thick fog setting in, so I set my alarm and drove up to the San Gabriel river the next morning. The riverbed, ravaged by a flood from the year before, looked eerie with the dead trees amongst the fog. I will see about posting that later. I walked further downstream and found a web that was covered in dew, and that's how this picture came to be. It took multiple attempts, because the focal length I was using to get up close was eating up a lot of shutter speed. However, I discovered that the gray morning sky behind the web provided me with enough light, if I held very still. This angle proved to provide the best results.
The North San Gabriel river is dammed NW of Georgetown, forming Lake Georgetown. As the river passes through the city, it joins with the South San Gabriel to form the San Gabriel River. Both the North and South rivers dry up above the lake in dry summers.

Wow... Cool one! Great sharpness on the web. I love the water droplets and the blurry background. Nice job.
