Photographer's Note
Winter's reward for all the inconvenience of the traffic caused by the weather and the additional warm clothes we must don is the unparalleled beauty of the freshly fallen snow.

Hi Greg,
Lovely lines from the fence and smmoth texture to the freshly fallen snow that is seen in beautifully warm winter light that renders tranquil shadows throughout this fine winter composition.

Hi Greg. Wonderful silver lining! Makes me wish we had more snow during our winters. Well composed, the fence is a nice lead-in line and you have captured a wonderful light and colour. Thanks for sharing.
Have a good week, Paul.

Hello Greg,
it's freezing out there! Eh? It's pretty cold here too, even without snow...I don't like it at all!
As you say winter rewarded you with unparalleled beauty, I should add: with a delightful light. The untouched snow reflects this fine light and makes the whole picture sparkling.
A simple but very good composition: fine young firs popping out of the snow! What an idea!
Warm greetings,
Donato

Hi, Greg.
Straightforward, effective, featuring fine light management and a delicate shadowplay. We still ain't seen any snow over here, but it's been freezing for the past 4 weeks in a row... Man, I'm sooooo thrilled! LOL!!! Have a good day, see ya soon.
Fulvio.

Hi Greg,
I wonder why I have this fascination for snow and at the same time winter sports never were inviting to me neither I like cold weather. Most probably it is because of the strange, unusual, at least for me, beauty that you talk about in the note and illustrate so well in the photo.
The light is wonderful and so it's the zigzag of the fence embracing the little pine trees.
Regards, José.

Hello Greg,
I appreciate this other facet of your style. This image is built artistically, with simple elements, judiciously laid out, under a light captured at the good moment. Congratulations.
Have a nice day

hi Greg,
you're right about the rewards for all the cold and all the darkness, it's worth suffering though some gray days to then see pure white and sparkling snow.
I like a lot how you have used the fence as a lead-in line through the photo, and how the trees seem to be eagerly waiting for that fence to go away so they can get to the undisturbed snow. the long shadows nicely fill what would otherwise be an empty space. nice one :)

Kristine

Hello Greg,
The cold weather does bring unparalleled beauty.
I like how the zigzag fence, with its light and shaded aspects, separates the cultivated from the wild.
The snow looks wonderful with its long shadows in the f/g and its ripples of shadow, like stripes, in the b/g.
Kimnd regards,
Bev :-)

dear Greg
Thanks for your comment to my last pic my friend. We are navigating so fast in TE that's why unfortunatelly we dont notice quickly the great pictures as yours in a brief time. I am glad nice to meet you so. This one also a stunning picture with very nice graphical lines and the three in the right place. I like it a lot. My best regards ihsan

Hello Greg,
C’est une très jolie vue hivernale avec cette neige formant comme des vagues,
J’aime beaucoup également la clôture en zigzag dans la composition,

Hello Greg,
this is a very nice scene filled with golden sunshine which warms up the cold snow and makes the mood of the photo pretty cheerful :) Very good balance of colours and light.
COmposition-wise, I am not sure... I would not crop the photo on the left so tightly. Perhaps I would include more space on the left...
Kind regards,
Elena
