Photographer's Note
It's the hottest day since last year here in California, so I chose something in contrast. The frost on the trees comes from a running unfrozen river nearby, the rising moisture from which, under the extreme cold tempreature, and driven by the winds, freeze on the tree branches. I realize the tree is too centered, but there was knee deep snow all around and my positioning was limited.
120mm. focal length, morning light.
Titled after the obvious, and of course the song by Madonna!

Tan,
This has really captured the dramatic shape of these mountains, and the blue look seems to add to the sense of scale.
I'm a little confused as to exactly what is in the space behind the trees and before the mountains? I just can't figure that out! ??

Hi Tan,
Wow, this certainly is a "cold" scene. But very nice - great details, stunning sharpness, and very icy cold colors. I like how the mountain peaks just keep rising higher towards the right side of the image. Well seen and TFS. Gerald

Superbe photo hivernale aux beaux tons bleus et blancs où la magnifique lumière que tu as capturée joue un très grand rôle .

Hi Tan.
maybe not your best, I fell a little lack of sharpness on the mountains, also the light is not top as I found, giving a blue cast to the picture.

Hi Tan,
Absolutely impressive mountains, their sharp edges look ominous. The frozen fog on the trees explains the title perfectly. Great photograph!

as you say yourself, the tree is too centered

It is ages since the last time I´ve seen a landscape like this one, Tan. And although it´s cold, it has some kind of warm mood for me in the sense I imagine myself enjoying it. I like the balance among the two trees and the mountain.

Wow, what an icy winter shot this is! The lighting on the peak is just right to be able to show the rough and rocky nature of the mountain, and the tree in the foreground provides a nice counterpoint to the mountain. Excellent work!

Tan,
the composition is perfect with the compression factor of the zoom in effect that uyou achieved of the trees against the massive mountains. Latter has such a typical silhouette that it alsmot doesn't require to be said where you got that shot. I guess that you did a lot of PP for this shot and yet it isn't at the level of your usual work. I even can see some cloning or brushing or wahtever in the sky, probably to remove some dust particles or unwanted birds.

Bu dağları yerinde görsem bu kadar keyif alır mıydım? Bilmiyorum. Fotoğrafta inanılmaz bir güzellikte duruyor. Ellerinize sağlık, selamlar.

Hi Tan,
Great photo of the impressive, snowy mountain peaks. Good inclusion of the white trees in the foreground. The light is also great and creates a nice contrast between the blue and white parts of the mountains.

Lars
