Photographer's Note

This, my second submission to TE is one of many barns, farms or homesteads scenes that I have "captured" recently from around the Yakima Valley in Eastern Washington.

The Yakima Valley is where the majority of the apples enjoyed throughout the United States are grown. Being an area primarily agricultural, the Yakima Valley is covered with numerous orchards with many types of fruit as well as vinyards, and seeminly innumerable varieties of crop fields.

Yakima Valley's past and present includes large and small ranches with livestock. The now infamous first ever known case of "Mad Cow" disease in the U.S. was on a Yakima Valley ranch in the Mabton area.

I have done some slight cropping, with light contrast adjustments. This farm scene is specifically located in the Gleed-Naches area of the Yakima Valley. I love the contrast of the horse with relation to the surrounding scenery.

God's best! Tim
