Photographer's Note
This is one of my favorite wild flowers, both for how it looks and what it is called. These beautiful flowers grow at all elevations and climates in Utah and occur in a variety of bright colors.
I adjusted levels, and saturations and did a little sharpening.

Nice shot Mark! I've tried many times to come up with a decent looking image of one of the guys, and so far I'm zip for about 20. The detail and color are very nice. DOF is right on the money.

Hey Mark, you've been busy here on TE. You might also consider TrekNature for shots like this one. This is also one of my favorites. Oddly, I'm colorblind and these don't stick out to me when I'm hiking along, so when I do discover them, then they stick out AFTER I've seen them. Weird, huh! The depth of field is well used here, and I like your centered composition, too. Let's go hiking together sometime!
