Hi Rosie - I remember the other photo from a few months ago. This is a great result, very moody, grainy & somewhat abstract. Good work.

Hi Rosie,
I remember well the "Wait" photo. A picture with an atmosphere, I wrote, or something like that(?!) I loved the "Wait" one, and now I love the "Arrival" one as much. Or maybe even more. Why? Well, not sure. Maybe because the atmosphere is more gloomy. Or, yes, I think I know why... It is that silhouette on the track...
This photo of yours, Rosie, touches me a lot... In fact, it is more than a photo. More I look at it, more it touches me...

Simply splendid return to BW form, Rosie. This is such a beautiful, moody shot. I cannot in any way fault the composition, the man is exactlt in the right place, your grainy foggy ps work is inspired, this is like the key scene in a movie, touches of "Casblanca" and, far less romantically, French documentaries about the Nazi camps like "Showah". Great stuff!

Dear Rosie, this image is definetely my type, love the atmoshpere, composition and the mood, top notch. All the elements are working just right, the very bright lights, tracks leading past the man (now that I image he walks on the tracks the image gets even scarier).
I would only hesitate about the grain, it looks very artificial to me.
Other than that it's superb.

Such a creative touch here.
I love the fuzzy spots of light and the lonely figure.
Thanks

Such a thick atmosphere here Rosalie, and the noise and dense fog give a real mysterious feel to it. Great work.

Really nice, very moody atmosphere + the grains.
The silhouette really stands out from the fog and tells all the story.
Brilliant one.

Hi Rosie,
fantastic light! or should I say darkness?:) Its a very surreal and moody photo, the man ofcourse being crucial to the story, I like how he is framed by the soft light of the car. Great pp work too.

Hi Rosalie,
It certainly is worth the post. Excellent impressionist image. Wonderful tones. The noise in this B&W image works for me.

Lights on the sky..Who's arriving? I first thought your second name was Vincent like David-Vincent-the-one-who-saw-them...
very well seen and excellent post processing. One of the very few case where glaring white is much needed, we're like a rabbit in front of carlights, totally unable to escape. Threatening atmosphere that gives the goosebumps.

This really feels like it was taken in the '30s or '40s, I think because not only is it in B&W but it's also not too sharp, but perfectly smudged. It is so evocative and moody.

Hi Rosie,
There is just something so appealling about trains; there just isn't the same reaction to cars. Your photo is very evocative of the excitement of waiting for the train to arrive; the waiting figure, the almost seen angle of thed rails, the angles of lights. Great work. I guess you don't do scenery because everyone does scenery; I think you like your shots to surprise, to present a different POV. But not just to be different, but different i n a way that makes us smile.

Hi Rosalie.

Hello Rosalie.
The atmosphere here is a suprise indeed. Seeing someone take the leap and be totally original on TE is quite a unique experience. Not to demean others, but true originality is rare...well you have an original vision and it is a joy to look at your photographs.
regards,
Chris.

Hi Rosie
Well...i don`t know if I saw here, this type of photography...I don`t know very much about rules in photography, but this one...is breaking all of them.I don`t know why i like it so much...maybe because of the atmosphere you create it...all that noise and grainy look, the lights...Anyway...is a favourite.TFS

HI Rosie,
I'm a bit late on this one, but it's never too late for a nice photo. I like the gloomy atmosphere here and the way you constructed this shot is perfect to me!
