Photographer's Note
Another nice view of Crater Lake, its unique water color ... cliffs and trees that align it. Again this lake was formed some 8,000 years ago ... as an active volcano erupted. But instead of blowing its top ... the top sank, deep into the mountain base - creating this crater, which in time filled with water. The water is extremely deep and renders an ink like color. The island in the picture has grown from the depths. The photo was taken at 9,000 feet - the mountain once stood above 12,000 feet. To get an idea of size ... there are three boats docked by the island ... they are so small ... the lake is really huge. A unique place.
Thanks for looking ...
David

Howdy David,
Fine view from Crater Lake's rim, for the depth of field, including Wizard Island and the distant mountain side, and all in saturated high altitude colors.
Well done,
Sincerely,
Ray
PS: Perhaps a Freudian slip in your title - "Creater Lake" ?

Hello David,
I have never been to Crater Lake and would very much like to, particularly after viewing this image. The colour of the water is glorious. I like the inclusion of the tree in the FG with the island giving some middle distance interest. You have great sharpness so that even the crater rime has super detail.
Excellent!
Kind Regards, Ann

Bonjour David
Unfortunately, I have never seen Crater Lake (only beautiful picture like yours), but it reminds me of Lake Tahoe.
Love the deep blue water.
Bravo
