Photographer's Note
Roxborough Spring III
Roxborough Park, South of Denver Colorado.
For José (Stego) ... who asked for a tighter point of view of the wonderful red rock fins associated with this region. They are striking features most well known from Garden of the Gods park in Colorado Springs.

Great lighting and color. Sharp and detailed also. I especially like the sky with the contrasting clouds and a bit of blue. The trees on the left side add an interesting touch also. Just a really good photo, really contrasty and smooth looking. Great work.

Hello John,
Good contrast between vegetation and rock in this excellent composition. The sombre lighting brings out the majesty of the rocks with their striations and strange shapes. Very good tones and clarity.

Hello John,
Another beautiful rendition of Roxborough Park. Excellent composition, gorgeous colors and your usual outstanding sky. I am a Colorado Springs native, more or less, and I didn't appreciate the Gardens of the Gods like I should have when I lived there. It is much more than a "tourist trap", it is a marvelous regional park which is one of the most beautiful places that I have known. Roxborough is beautiful as well. Colorado is underrated as a tourist destination. Superb photo!

I like the contrast between the lush green and the barren ruggedness of the rocks. It definitely makes for a striking image and the moody sky sets it off nicely.
I'm not so keen on the squareish format though, I'd have preferred it in the classic 3:2 ratio with a bit more of the landscape visible on either side.
Cheers,
Ben

Hi John,
Wonderful lush green grass and trees surrounded the stark red rocks. I love the little touch of yellow and the light that you caught between the giant rock.

Hello John,
What a spectacular view of outcropping rocks. The colors and contrasts are as flawless as the perspective and definition. The sky is particularly dramatic, with the variegated colors in the sky. Warm regards,
Bulent

Hello John,
Nice the spectacular view of the two rocks in the foreground and the third one in the middle. The sky and the greenery between the rocks are great.I have an objection with regard to the low vegetation in the foreground and the trees. It is a lot of blurred room, have been lost the details. Why did't put a bigger f/stop in order to appear the front details, except if were this your aim,to show us only the rocks.
Have a nice Weekend,Danos

John, this is a breathtaking shot!
The textures are impressive, I like the details (sharp and colors) in the grass at the foreground, I like a lot the textures in this rocky formations against the sky. The light, the color... are really powerful! Absolutely beautiful!
Regards,
Angel.

Bonjour John,
Best regards from Belgium.
Daniel.
