Photographer's Note
Photo of the Golden Gate Bridge and Fort Point, the only civil war era brick fort on the west coast of the United States. Originally, the fort was to be eliminated with construction of the bridge since it was situated where the south cable anchorage was designed to rest. However, chief engineer Joseph Strauss saved the fort by anchoring the cable in the cliff behind the fort and constructing a steel arch which spans above the fort.

I like the viewpoint here, we get a good view of the fort & of course the bridge itself, your note is very useful in explaining about the design of this section of the bridge.
I do think it could benefit from a little bit of post processing work, to increase the contrast & colours, so I've done a workshop.
