Photographer's Note
I lived in California for 2.5 years. In the first year I could not afford a car so I did a lot of local sightseeing using public transportation. I relied a lot on the Big Blue Bus, which is a public transportation company in Santa Monica. I took Big Blue Bus both to work and to the closest beach which was in Santa Monica. I remember thinking how terrible it is to always go to the same beach when there are so many attractive beaches along Californian Coast. Many years later when I re-visited Santa Monica from Europe, I remember tears in my eyes seeing the beauty of my favourite spots. One of my favourite places was the Palisades Park, along the edge of the cliffs from which you could admire spectacular views to the beach. In this photo you see an evening scene with people gathered along the fence to admire the sunset. In the distance you can see Santa Monica Mountains.

Hello Mariusz,
A great black and white photo with these huge palm trees. The people add a great sense of size here. The sharpness is perfect, which makes the silhouettes stand out so well from the grey backdrop.

Hi Mariusz.One almost seems to read one of those tear-jerking legends that are very fashionable during the Christmas period. I understand your emotion in seeing this place again after so many years, these are things that have happened to me too. Mariusz, the Palisades park is a kind of mirador where the public can admire the mountain landscape and the beach further down. That meeting point attracts people of all generations. Only the palm tree and the visitors silouhettes appear by evening. Fine colors, good sharpness, interesting photo note, regards.

Ciekawy pomysl, zeby z tego, co jak wspominasz w notce, bylo zachodem slonca, zrobic czarno-biale zdjecie. Efekt bardzo artystyczny w dobrym tego slowa znaczeniu. Sylwetki palm i ludzi przyciagaja wzrok i daja lepszy rezultat niz cieple kolory.
