Photographer's Note
Today was the 123rd Tournament of Roses Parade, Americas' New Years Celebration in Pasadena, Ca. The crowds were expected to number 700,000. The theme this year was "Just Imagine...", which represents hope and potential. The A2 S[irit Stealth flew by at the beginning. It was hard to choose one float or image to commemorate the parade but I chose the AIDS Healthcare tribute to Elizabeth Taylor, who championed this cause untiringly, because as it passed by it evoked a strong emotion in me and brought tears to my eyes.
The floats are assembled by volunteers and are covered with roses, flowers and other organic materials.
I'll post another image of a close up so you all can see the enormous detail involved.
Please enjoy my photo.

Happy New Year Karen!
These portraits of Elizabeth Taylor are beautiful, and all of the flowers are so colorful. It must be a great parade. Thanks for showing us a bit of this Pasadena tradition.
