Mammoth Mountain in summertime when we like to go mountain biking. This view is from the gondola on the way to the top which is at 11,000 ft. elevation. This is the eastern sierras.

This was taken in July? Beautiful snow-covered mountain. I like the composition and the lighting. Good dof with sharp details. Wonderful colors. Well done, tfs.

Hi Karen,
Great clarity and almost touchable crispness of the snow in the foreground renders a sense of presence in the photo for the viewer. You were obviously taking a picture from the shade under the cloud - I like how the scenery is well lit in the background, nice play of light and shadow!

Hi Karen,
I have not been to Mamoth in the winter since 10 or so year ago, though last May I west to the Tioga pass it was snowing. This is a cool shot with good depth using the snowy foregound that lead to the sweeping with of the range beyond. The light is difficult with the strong light and shadow, but you manage well. The blue sky and cloud is so nice with the clear air up in the higher elevation.
Excellent. Going to Bryce Canyon this weekend hope to see some nice snow on the red rocks.

Hi Karen,
a sharp image in spite of the capture from the gondola in motion.
I like this breathtaking landscape of mountains which still have snow on its slopes.
A nice light and a few beautiful natural colors in this composition, with a good contrast between white and blue tones.
It's a good work.
