Photographer's Note

Living in the San Francisco Bay area is wonderful; there's such a diversity of cultures, and people are friendly. I was driving home from work and saw him " sittin' on the dock of the bay-Watching the tide roll away..." I made a U turn and was I was driving took this. By the time I parked he was walking. He passed by me said Hello and we chatted for a couple of minutes about the airport, he had just dropped someone off and was watching the planes lift off. He left. I took another photo of him as he walked away. This was taken on a portion of the Bay Trail please read more about it here

Because of the carefree mood of the day, and the beautiful breezy weather the Otis Redding song was the first thing I thought when I saw him.

Sittin' here resting my bones
And this loneliness won't leave me alone
It's two thousand miles I roamed
Just to make this dock my home

Now, I'm just gonna sit at the dock of the bay
Watching the tide roll away
Oooo-wee, sittin' on the dock of the bay
Wastin' time

Cropped the photo a little contrast brightness sharpened a little
