Photographer's Note
This is the ninth of Twenty Four of my Grand canyon Series.
Standing at the rim of Hopi Point just before sunset, people who rented mules to go down to Colorado River are now coming back up. One by one up the narrow trail. I was above this trail when I took this photo. This is prior to my walk to Hermits Trail. All guides at the park are saying the best views at sunset are at Hermit's Trail.
PP Work: Adjust levels control; Increase saturation; Sharpen; Remove noise; Convert to black and white; crop; Reduce file size for upload. I used RAW format for all photos I took of the Grand Canyon.

Great shot! Perfect POV with amazing detail. Great choice for the B&W tones and nice job managing them. I sense your noise removal process may have slightly smudged certain areas but either way it turned out great.

Hi Andre, I very much like this adventurous looking photo. Your POV is great and the composition makes the scene look very impressive; and what a sharpness! The most incredible part surely is the texture of the rocks, it's brilliant, I like this a lot, Bravo! Sabine

Hi Andre,
This is a "WOW!" photo, at least for me! Your point of view is very interesting. The composition is great. It is like if we are seeing something without beeing seen. The light is perfect. This picture goes straight in my rare favorites one!

I love this photo. The composition is definitely perfect. With black and white it looks like a scene from old Western movies. Great shot. Regards..

Very beautiful shot! I like the black & white conversion, you seem to have really mastered that. The light on the mule and rider is great, and really makes them stand out against the dark wall in the background. Great work!

Hi Andre,
Very nice point of view, giving importance to the cliffs on the back.
But the principal subject is perfectly taken .
It's like on the western films...
Congratulations,
Christophe

Hi Andre,
I love this one! It has a fantastic atmosphere and reminds of some cowboy scene of a movie film. Again, the choice of B&W is excellent. Very good lighting and the surface of the rock canyon in the back has a kinnd of an irreal texture. Well done!

Hi Andre,
What an amazing shot! The POV is so unusual, as if you are clinging to the cliff and shooting downward at the decisive moment. Great clarity and the main subject is nicely off centre. Very fine work, Andre. This is a keeper.

What a play of light on the foreground to this impressive shadowed background, th diagonal is perfect between the two lightsettings to place this man on his horse in full sun, excellent compo Andre, very pleasing to see.

hello Andre,
I join the chorus of enthusiastic voices: this is an amazing image. The B&W adds a nostalgic note to it.
The sharpness brings out the details in the rocks. Wonderful composition, the POV is great, the light on the rider gives extra depth to the darker canyon walls.
