Photographer's Note
Shattered ice over a hollow in the rock reflects Picketpost Mountain in the Globe Ranger District of the Tonto National Forest. As I was composing the photo, my hiking partner couldn't resist stamping on the ice.
I am not certain how the water got there as it in a boulder on the bank of Telegraph Creek which was dry at that point. Telegraph Trail wanders in and out of the creek in Telegraph Canyon.
