Photographer's Note
It's blazing heat and cacti that people associate with Arizona, but northern Arizona's elevation allows it to experience "real" winter, just like the majority of the country. The Sedona area experienced a snowfall a day or two before I visited this section of the Coconino National Forest and, in the more shaded sections of the trails I hiked, there were remnants of that snow.
