Photographer's Note
The Chapel of the Holy Cross is a Roman Catholic chapel built into the buttes of Sedona, Arizona, run by the Diocese of Phoenix, as a part of St. John Vianney Parish in Sedona.
The chapel was inspired and commissioned by local rancher and sculptor Marguerite Brunswig Staude, who had been inspired in 1932 by the newly constructed Empire State Building to build such a church. After an attempt to do so in Budapest, Hungary (with the help of Lloyd Wright, son of noted architect Frank Lloyd Wright) was aborted due to the outbreak of World War II, she decided to build the church in her native region. Hello Eleu,
It's a remarkable but slightly strange place for a church. The architecture is interesting and the surroundings are awesome, but does the congregation find its way here? The colors are in any case stunning, including the green belt at the bottom.

This is amazing combination of the nature and human touch. Although it reminds me an anthill and the direct attempts of the ant to use some objects for building. Very curious chapel, good capture.

now this is something we don't see everyday is it.
I think i've seen similar construction in Palm Springs.
but this is pretty neat, looks like its STUCK in the rock!

This concrete modern chapel is a little incongruous in this wild rocky landscape , but the effect is interesting .
