Photographer's Note
Sedona,. Arizona is a resort city about 2 hours north of Phoenix and is widely visted by tourists. It is my understanding, that after the Grand Canyon, Sedona is the most visted attraction in our state. It is noted for its stunning array of red sandstone formations, the Red Rocks of Sedona. The formations appear to glow in brilliant orange and red when illuminated by the rising or setting sun. It is a great mecca for hikers and mountain biking. The early settlers were farmers and ranchers. Oak Creek Canyon was well-known for its peach and apple orchards.
We go here several times a year. This is a photo from the balcony of our hotel room. Most all of these major formations have a specific name, but I don't remember the name for this one. .

Hi Roger
Wishing now that I had gone to Sedona and Antelope Canyon. The red rocky outcrops set up a wonderful warm cold color contrast against the clear blue sky. Good sharpness and well framed and composed. I nlike the wide angled, panoramic format. The abrupt fg cliffs add interest. Tfs.

Hello Roger,
Those red rocks are amazing sight on the desert, and stand out like an old fortress.
The terrain is decorated by green small trees, appear in fine contrast. On this spot, a three different layers are notable.
Enjoy a nice weekend,
Ike

Hello Roger,
You show us a very nice view of the Red Rock Sedona.
Very well combination between green of the trees and the brown rock.
An excellent depth and perspective picture, but also a good panoramic picture.
Luminosity and clarity colours together are fantastic.
Very well done, TFS.
Have a nice weekend,
John.

Hello Roger,
A fascinating landscape beautifully captured, just a pity the image is not bigger. I like the colour contrasts and the well rendered textural detail.

Hi Roger
Wow, that is really John Wayne territory. Or John Ford, maybe.

Hi Roger,
A city that I visited at the end of July 2000 before travelling to the Grand Canyon. The point of view is showing the details of the red rock formation in Sedona. The quality of the light is making the colors to stand out. Have a nice day.
