This was taken at a famous throughbred race horse park in Lexington, KY called Keeneland. The picture is coming around the 4th turn.

Hi Jason - a dynamic enough composition and a good subject that excited me enough from the thumbnail to want to see more but your PP leaves a lot to be desired - it looks oversaturated and the use of the sky filter is I'm afraid about as bad as it gets - no subtleties just the straight PS filter and it doesn't join either - I really do think this basic image is worth working on but this wasn't it!

I'm sorry but the sky looks artificial. The picture has too much PS influence which makes it a paint, not a photo. I'm not a PS fan and I use it as little as possible.

Hi Jason, A nice action show. You have well captured the dynamics of the race with the dust behind the horses well seen. There are some PP artifact, some discontinuity can be clearly seen between the trees and the sky. Nevertheless, a well seen and good action photo.

Hello Jason,
Was browsing through your little gallery and decided on this shot for my first critique. I noticed that you have done some WS on the sky. Was the original sky very bad? The workshop took away some of the shapes of the trees and made them look too artificial. A nice action shot but I guess maybe a little too much frozen. I might want to try a little slower speed to blur out the horse legs. Also this was a opportunity to try out some panning shots of the race. Did you manage to experiment with this? TFS Andre
