Photographer's Note

Yep, it's another sunset. I am rather fond of this one. Found this negative hiding in one of my orphan sleeves. It's was scanned, diffused at 35% opacity, level adjusted to make it more contrasty, and then tritoned at 60% opacity over the original untoned finished product. I shot this from the back porch that my Dad was in the middle of building in the Ozarks. I stalked that post nearly my whole vacation to get the shot, only to lose the negative until today. Let me know what you think.

The Day After:

After reading Tony's crit, I thought to myself, "Oh Yeah... 4x5." I tend to do alot of square format work. Some of this is because of the cameras I like to use, however alot of it is a personal preference issue. I like working within the perfect proportions of a square to weave a composition, but it's not good to get stuck in a mental mode with your creativity. Thanks for the heads up, Tony. The 4x5 version of this is a much stronger composition, IMHO. Check out the WS and see if you agree.
