The concert by the Boston Pops, in he Esplanade on July the 4th has become a mainstay of holiday TV, this was take during the rehearsal and difference is there are no fire works on the 3rd.
This shot exemplifies the event; stage action, crowds and cameras.

Hi Greg,
Great holiday scene, it must have been a great event to attend.
Like the effect of the heads in the foreground and the muted perform in the distance.
The lady waving the flag is a real eye catcher.

Hello Greg,
My husband has a D300 and its so uch better than my camera for high ISO's without noise. Nice use of narrow dof, focussing on one exact spot, which shows up nicely against the oof areas.
We were on the banks of the Hudson River on July 4th, watching the fabulous firework display. It was my husband's birthday, too. He liked to imagine that the celebrations were in his honour - some expense, eh!!
