Photographer's Note
This pond is near the Quabbin reservoir in central Massachusetts. While it supplies water to the metro Springfield and Boston areas it is also a game and bird preserve which make it a wonderful place to visit no mater the time available.

I've never seen anything like it in a lake, imagine that inside there are cameras for observation of birds. A very curious and unique image.

Hi Greg,
Long ago my daughter and I bicycled from Schenectady to Cape Cod and stopped along the reservoir at a spot much like this.
Didn't hit much traffic until we got south of Worcester and then it was quite heavy.
Great shotwith intresting reflections. I guess what is on top of the pond is the stuff causing allegries.

Interesting effect as the trees reflect from water!
Also the duck boxes catches my attention - I assume they are for hatching, but I never saw anything like this - probably for a particular kind of duck...
An interesting documentary from the reserve!

There is a nice contrast between the vertical lines of the trees and the horizontal stripes in the pond so this justify the division of the photogram in two equal halves. The long focal of the lens enhances the graphic effect. what I like best is that thin stripe of green grass in the middle and the reflections on the water.

Hi Greg,
The reflections on the water are assets to the composition. The distance between the duck boxes and the shore is giving depth to the scenery. The morning light is enhancing the colors. Have a nice day.
