Photographer's Note
Storms have roiled in and near our region for the past couple of days. Tonight, at sunset, the clouds began to break up just a little bit. I'd left my perch overlooking a lake too soon to catch the aerial view. But the perspective from the ground was still worth stopping the car, looking out over the farm fields, leaning out the window, and recording this moment.
Technical Note: I had underexposed by 1 stop when taking this shot originally. I made a slight levels adjustment in The Gimp, in addition to routine sizing and sharpening, to make the rendition more accurate.

Hi Jim,
Colors and shapes are superb. But there's way too much noise in your picture. I used Dfine to reduce the disturbing noise and framed your work. Hope you like it.
Cheers

Hi Jim,
Beautiful collection of complimentary colors are to be found in this dramatic night time sky.
The lovely silver gray upper sky seems to be a passing threat to break up the vivid pink and golden lower sky.

Hello Jim,
I like the cloud formations in the horizon, the patterns are so diverse and attractive!
Interesting variation in the colour palette in the sky varying from pale blue to intense yellow and red...
Well composed with good emphasis to the sky!

Hello jim
You got this sunset wonderfully. Variations from pure yellow to red and finally blue is really great. My remark will be more about the framing. I think that a panoramic format could be more appropriated for such subject (of course, only personnal point of view).
Any way, great picture to look at.
Best regards

Hello Jim:
Thank you for visiting my gallery and allowing me to know yours.
I admiration has caused this picture, particularly the beautiful and radiant shade, how contrast within the composition and depth of field.
Without doubt that the sky is the most connotations of the scene, which is why I understand the importance that you give.
Well done.

Hello Jim,
The image that you submitted four months ago in late spring is one of those magnificent testaments to the sun as the life giver, why the ancient Egyptians and the Maya among all worshiped the sun. The colors and resolution in the silhouettes are fabulous, but I like best the fact that you've presented so much of the sky itself.
Warm regards,
Bulent

Hi Jim, Good colours and excellent low crop showing the silhouettes of the buildings and trees. Always interested to see how others use their D400/Rebel to look and learn from other postings. The clouds are well captured. TFS. Murray.
