Photographer's Note
The strait-deck bulk carrier 'Quebecois' as she transits the channel between Bois Blanc Island (in the back ground) and the northeastern quadrant of the Michigan mitten. The good turbine-powered ship was built in 1963, is 730' long by 75' wide by 39' deep (not draft). She can carry 27,800 tons of bulk commodity (grain, stone, coal, etc.) and belongs to Seaway Marine Transport, Saint Catharines, ON, a division of the Upper Lakes Shipping Co. of Toronto, ON.
