Photographer's Note
USCGC Mackinaw arrives at the Cheboygan pier head on 2/9/06 after a brief outing on Lake Huron.
[Update: For the past year or so and for the foreseeable future, this ship has been serving as a museum ship in Mackinaw City and her replacement, also named Mackinaw, is stationed in Cheboygan.]

Good colours nice and sharp and from the angle it looks as if the boat is actually icebound

Nice winter shot of the Mackinaw, James. You have framed it wisely and the colour is good. The red hull of the ice breaker contrasts well with it's surroundings. Job well done....

Hello James!
Sorry I missed this one during my Olympic break ( LOL ).
Nice to have a ship enthousiast.
Great image of this old icebreaker. Perhaps they will have to replace it soon, as she is really getting old now.
Cheers!

Ah! this is what Im talking about..
Hello again James, Like I told in your picture "Federal Nakagawa Waiting to Lock Through "
These ships in red look amazing in a snowy waters. Nicely seen.Should have been a real sight.
The size of the ship is evident with the presence of men on board and in the pier. Good capture.
