Very cool shot, I only noticed that the waterline seems not to be completely straight, it kinda curves up at the right. Beautiful view though!

Could be a scene in one of Fellini's neorealistic movies - would he ever turned one in Chicago...
I like the idea, that you let almost only the contour of the skylines to work against the hole.
You could straightened the buildings with the perspective correction?
