This is a scene from a small Midwestern town in the United States on Christmas Eve. The tank is actually of World War II vintage. Its juxtaposition with the innocent-looking play structure in the background is meant to convey the contrasting feelings of anxiety and celebration at this time of the year as this country's "threat level" has been raised.
