Photographer's Note

Some people believe in Istanbul dream.
To define the proper term, I would like to adapt James Truslow Adams words from his book "The Epic of America" .......he says "it is the dream of a land in which life should be better and richer and fuller for everyone, with opportunity for each according to ability or achievement. It is not a dream of motor cars and high wages merely, but a dream of social order in which each man and each woman shall be able to attain to the fullest stature of which they are innately capable, and be recognized by others for what they are, regardless of the fortuitous circumstances of birth or position."

Although a variety of definitions can be inferred from Adams' paragraph, I would like to sum up into one small sentence and adapt it to Istanbul .... Istanbul dream is a dream of social order..a place that gives opportunity to show your abilities....the more you have opportunity, the more you have rich options.... the better your life will be.

Whenever I see a University Student in Istanbul, somehow I think of the opportunities that they seek, how they challenge with life to show who they are...

This photo is taken in Pera Museum. The girl is reading the exhibition info which says "Istanbul, the City of Dreams".

I liked her silluette but I wish the photo had more sharpness:(
