Photographer's Note

Good Morning Everyone,

This row of cottages was once built for the use of workers in a nearby cotton mill.

They would have been very modest, two downstairs rooms and two bedrooms, a small garden at the front and a much larger garden at the rear.

The cotton mill has recently been demolished and replaced by more modern houses, whilst these cottages have been thoroughly modernised and are now sought after, as period residences. Many have rear extensions to make them more desirable.

Thanks for your interest, Bev :-)
