History:
The mill is a reconstruction of the Bosterhout mill. This was originally in Meulebeke. The mill was built in 1765-1766 and continued to function until 1958.
For the construction of a new road, one would move the mill fifty meters. Once the mill had been dismantled, however, the plan went on and the mill was sold to the city of Bruges. In 1996, the city of Bruges rebuilt the mill and called him the Koeleweimolen
