After the warm weather of the last days get we much clouds and ten degrees cooler than yesterday.
My bike trip brought me to Sint Laureins 10 km of my home.

Along the canal I saw the red poppies a great symbolic in Flemish Belgium, I took a picture notwithstanding the cloudy sky.

Symbolism:

Previously, it was thought that the plant grew at the place where someone was killed and that the blood was absorbed by the plant and stored in the petals. Therefore, it was thought that this was the cause of the many poppies on the battlefield. In fact, the cause causes the seeds to germinate only when exposed to light. As the battlefield was wrapped around, the seeds came to light and germinated.
The most neutral and internationally scattered symbol for the Allied soldiers in the First World War on the Iron, is the poppy. The American Moina Belle Michael decided in 1918, after the ceasefire, always wearing a poppy. Other women took over this and went selling the flowers. The proceeds went to the widows and children of the fallen soldiers and to invalid soldiers. In France, this was followed in 1921 and in England in 1922.

In Britain, the poppy as a "Remembrance poppy" has become a symbol for all sacked soldiers. The nonprofit organization concerned with war victims and their relatives is called Poppy Appeal.
