Church of Santo Chiodo - SpoletornIn fact, the dedication is in San Claudio, but we talk about a bad spoletini dialect and became Holy Nail.rnThe church, the beautiful Romanesque style, dates from the twelfth century. After years of neglect, the disfigured and reduced to small stae henhouse, it has now been carefully restored and became a private residence.rnThe facade is in very white stone square blocks and preserves a beautiful portal, in whose arch is an inscription walled stone 41x39 cm, become wedge placed in 'arc discharge, no doubt part of an inscription metric: TVR / ILLE. FINEM / AVSTRA. Resolve / E. VIVIT / EVERVS / ROBVS / IT / HMI / VLCRAS / ITATE / NQVI. Vixit. AN / XLIIII. M. X. The interior, a single nave, was completely rebuilt and the ancient decoration only retains a portion of effigy of St. Paul on the high wall of the apse.
