Photographer's Note
The pix is of Shiva Temple by Naini Lake. It is located at the Mallital Side (North) of Naini Lake inside Naina Mata Mandir (The temple of Mother Naina). This is a holi place. According to Hindu mythology when lord Vishnu used his weapon to protect the world from the anger of Lord Shiva to cut the body of Shiva's wife (Sati) in pieces, her eyes fell here. The goddess worshipped here is Naina Mata (Nayan means an eye). In the first evening when I reached the temple, dusk have already reached the place and darkness was rolling down the slopes of the peaks. I snapped a number of pictures of that spot but this one I found good enough to post to TE because of the hidden light and the lake in the background. Hope you will like this photograph.

This composition is quite beautiful and gives the idea of somthing sacred or mysterious. The golden colors are pretty.
The phot quality appears to be low, and it could be bigger, it's very pretty photograph and you could post it bigger so we call could enjoy it fully.

Nice image Kausik. Well composed.The light is very subtle , gentle.
I still have a big regret, not having been there. I was afraid I wouldn't have time to do everything I wanted to do, in fact i had plenty of times...
Next trip.. I really don't see where else I could travel too but India..

Good photo Kausik!
Nicely framed view of the lake, and good utilisation of the light in the temple. Maybe could be a bit sharper, but i understand the difficulty min low light conditions.
May I suggest a tripod for such shots in the future!

I enjoy this rich and golden hue frame Kausik. The setting is pretty mystical and religious and quite a strong impression. The texture is still obvious among the shades but there is a general soft focusing or noise.

Everything can be understood by praying to the lord of truth,your mind gets clearer and clearer, and you get power from praying to Lord Shiva. This photograph is beautiful. When I look at this photograph, I have a strong urge to sit inside the temple , pray and enjoy the view.
