Photographer's Note

An alternative 180degree view to a previous post of this area.

This is taken from north bank of the River Tees, at the threshold of the Transporter Bridge, a well known landmark.

Middlesbrough has a very proud industrial history, steel making, bridges, ships, and lately the oil industry. Sadly most of this is now gone, though little pockets remain.

Much effort has gone into regeneration, and there are remarkable successes evident around the town. This particular view shows a juxtapostion of the past and the present; the neglected old ferry, the old crane structure, the new Temonos sculpture, and the Middlesbrough football ground.

Location, and little yellow man.
