I haven't commented on either TE or TL in literally more than a year. But when I was casually browsing through the TE gallery to see what was new, and to come upon your photo having no comments or critiques, I felt compelled to comment here.
The composition of this photo is excellent: the dead pelican is just off-center in the foreground, balancing with the line of live, crowded pelicans in the upper background. The visual juxtaposition really contrasts the lone, dead pelican, whom we see in detail, with the live pelicans far away. Rich tones and great contrasts in the sand dimples and the shadow of the dead pelican too. I love the vertical cropping and the angle of the shot from above, allowing the dead pelican's neck and beak to "point" to the pelicans in the background creates flow and continuity. You've used the natural lighting well and there's great sharpness and focus.
An all-around excellent shot that gets its point across in an expressive, poignant, and creative way. Thanks for sharing :)

..gone for some. Good POV, sharpness and composition, nice colours, and opposition of life and death.
Congratulations

Hi Osman,
Very good composition. I like the great contrast between the dead pelican in the foreground and the big group in the background.
Nice light and colors.

Mirari
