Photographer's Note

You can see the TE Beta version by clicking on the castle below.

Dunguaire Castle.

Compared to my previous post, this Castle is certainly not abandoned or in Ruins, its probably in pristine condition after some renovations.

This is Dunguaire Castle. Its a 16th Century Tower House, the Tower itself is 75 feet tall, and the Castle grounds are open to tourists during the day.

The photo's I've seen of this Castle on TE are mostly taken with the tide IN. Noel posted a photo of it with water reflections. Even if the tide was in, there is no way water reflections would happen with the wind, the water would be too rough.

If time permitted, I would have gone inside for sure. We were in a hurry to book a B&B in the next town, and to catch the best lighting because we were on our way to the Cliffs of Moher.

Anyways, I hope you like this one, it was a quick grab shot. Pulled the car over to the side of the road and snapped these off quickly.

Check out the WS for a couple more similar views.
