Getting lost in the medina..

I feel so comfortable roaming in the heart of Kairouan like stepping back in time, not a tourist 'souk' and it is very genuine! where I discovered so many details and real life going on: a green market, or fruit stalls for local people, kids playing football in small alleys and truly vivid. All the senses start recognising the scents, sights, colours, tradition, sound of Arabic music and feel of bygone days. Its facades are enchanting with white walls offset by blue doors or arches, balconies and shutters.....

It's the Tunisians which render this place so unique, obviously a great place to do some people watching and shooting opportunity is limitless. This is a routine simple street candid using low viewpoint to enhance a bit of drama enhancing the optical distortion native to wide angle lens by shooting up and close. I love the background and waited for someone walking past before firing a few shots - just to show a real moment in time and a relationship between humans and their environment....
