Photographer's Note

Here is one of the many shots that I took from the higher elevation in the city to show some of the huge buildings. From a population of perhaps 5,000 in the mid 1940s, Acapulco has grown to a major metropolitan area of almost a million people. During the 80s and 90s, much of the counstruction was dedicated to building conodminiums and apartments to accommodate the growth of the city. By the way, the wealthy live up here in the hills overlooking the city.
