Canada became a country on July 1st, 1867. Canada day used to be called Dominion Day, the name was changed in 1982 after the government created a new Canadian constitution. Canada Day commemorates the birth of Canada.

didn't even know there was a Canada day. Well happy Canada day! nice composition with the flag reflected. colors are a bit harsh though.

Hey Csilla,
Cute duck! I was wondering at first why the duck? As I moved down towards what the duck was doing...there it is! The Canadian Flag! Interesting fold of events, here in Hong Kong we just celebrated the 10th Anniversary of Hong Kong's handover to China from Great Britain also last 1st of July 2007. There were fireworks, parades, concerts, and protestors!
