Photographer's Note
This is Wickaninnish Inn on the West coast of Vancouver Island. There is a wonderful restaurant and lodging here where you can stay for the night. Also in this building is an art display and mini theatre where you can watch video presentations on nature from the west coast.
By far the most rewarding thing to do here is to enjoy the west coast natural enviroment. I took this photo of the Inn when there was alot of mist blowing up from the sea. That is the reason for the lack of crisp detail on the building. Later on the same day the fog rolled in so quickly it was hard to believe it was the same day. A very windswept coastland and such natural beauty. Many come here in the winter months to see the huge roaring waves. And with a wind forces over 100km per hour today I doubt they have electricity tonight. Enjoy!

Hello Paul,
What an amazing shot of Wickaninnish Beach and the Inn. I love the view here with such wonderful lighting and some haze to make the scene complete. The reflection of the building in the water is fantastic and the colours are stunning! Great work, Paul!
Greetings,
Ann

Lovely view of the west coast. I figure you took this picture during low tide. Excellent capture of the building over the rocks and some water in the background. Colors and sharpness are very good. I notice no noise whatsoever in the picture. Nice work :-)

Hi Paul, very nice composition and lighting in this shot. It almost looks like a painting. I expect the mist helped here. Everything is postioned almost as if placed. You even have a nice tidal pool to catch the reflection of the inn. Very nice.
Thanks, John

Great shot Paul! This looks more like a painting than a photo, the light is so well handled. The reflection is great too. One of your best shots!

Hi Paul,
everything behind the trees in the right has a touch of a high quality painting from a comic (a realistic one). And even the reflection in the water is close to it. This is creating a mystic or unreal mood coming to me. Like "what happens next if I go there". The destructed wood arrangement at right is the addition, which is the photo taking back in real world. TFS

Hi Paul,
Another great photo... must be nice to stay here. You captured this scene very well... especially the reflection of the inn on the small pool of water.
Cheers!

I recognised this place form the thumbnail, having visited this amazing beach almost twelve years ago. We even had lunch at that inn.
With regards to your photograph, I think we could have done without so much of the tree and stacked logs on the right of the frame.
As the reflection is such a strong element in the image, I think going in a bit closer on the inn and it's reflection, and showing a bit more of the beach on the left would have produced a stronger image.
As it stands though, I like this shot, and it's brought back some good memories.
Cheers,
Ben

Hello, Paul!
Very beautiful and intersting place! I like very much complicated architecture of this building! Well composed image, You have brought to play a little pool of water to double the building and to make the image more interesting. interesting weather - clarity of the air wasn't too high, so the rest of image, besides the foreground, looks very hazy. Good job!

Greg

This is the most charming mess I've seen in a long time...(:-))).
This picture is unusual in its beauty, some may wonder: Is it true?
Is this still a photography, or we are talking graphics here...?
Just pros, man...
Just pros...
all the best, Paul
